    4. On the GUI, look for bbupdater you just downloaded, drag and drop it into iPhone's /usr/bin directory. MAKE SURE to set the permission to 0755!

it says cannot execute command when i type bbupdater -v

maybe it is because of that permission thing

how do we set it to 0755 ?

I've followed all the steps, but when I type in :

    launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCentre.plist

    I get this error message.

"launchctl: Couldn't stat("/System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCentre.plist"): No such file or directory
    nothing found to unload"

I've gone into that directory in winscp just to make sure it exists, and it does. Any suggestions?

    Cheers,

    Jake

If you guys have problems following the instructions, there is an iphone app available out there I believe called something like BBInfo. Go look it up, it should be a painless process to check your bootloader.
