    Question Good IMEI - BAD IMEI - Anomaly

    Hello everyone!

    Let me give you some history;

    Had 1.0.2 - 3rd party apps and working.
    Tried anySIM at the time and it did not work.
    Up'd to 1.1.1 and trashed the baseband and IMEI.
    Down'd to 1.0.2 but IMEI and model sw stayed icky.
    ReVirg'd the modem software and fixed the IMEI.
    JailBreak'd with AppTapp and used iBrickr to xfr the IASIGN pem file.
    Activated with IASIGN.

    Now here is where it gets weird:

    Without a SIM card in my phone, the IMEI shows the one stamped on the back of my iPhone. With a SIM installed (any availabel SIM for that matter) it shows the dreaded 0049*****.

    I have redone this process many times and just can't seem to fix the damned thing.

    At this point I am stuck. I am going to try to revirg without my SIM even close to my phone to see if I can magically get it to work.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    TIA!

    I'd say we're in the same boat dude, except I can't even restore it to 1.0.2, I'm literally thinking about hitting myself in the balls, because they just released an easy way to upgrade LITERALLY AN HOUR AFTER I TRIED THE HARD WAY, all because some asian with bad english told me to

    I will know more in a little bit. I may have fully virg'd my phone. I am leaving work now to get home and test it out. If it works... I will post a full "how to" just for you... since you were the only one who replied!

    I can say you didnt properly virginize your phone, you must repair the seczone.NVRM else you will remain bad IMEI.

    Zal, that is how I fixed it too, I have to do some cleaning up and re-add all my files and apps, but this way works!
