Hey guys, I live in canada and am comming to buffalo this weekend to buy an Iphone, what are my chances of finding a non 1.12 iphone at the apple store? My understanding is that if I buy a 1.12 i am screwed.

your not screwed...you just have to go with the turbosim method which is really easy just ends up costing you a little bit extra cash for the actual turbosim..

i dont think anyone here can tell you what your chances are of buying a non 1.1.2 phone ..

Today was searching local Apple stores (NY and NJ) none of older version was found. Even at some AT&T stores no luck. Seems like all old versions is gone.

go with the TurboSIM solution and make its czech developers happy. I just ordered one and I am sure I will be happy. If I had ordered TS from the very beginning in early September I am sure I would have had much less hazzle with all that up,- and downgrading. Nevertheless: I like hacking as an art and I really find admirable what iphone dev team has done for all of us... send them some $$$ they really deserve it...

almost no chance. Apple (New jersey/NY) stores won't let you check the serial before buying and they were at week 46-47 this past weekend. Same thing with ATT stores.

as per a apple store employee:
all stores are to send all non 1.1.2(, non display iPhones back to apple.

got a 7T739 iphone here, bought very recently in an applestore in the USA which had week 47 and week 39 (the ones from week 47 also had 3 different digits as the firsst digits, not 7T7).
so this here seems to be week 39. is it probable that apple has updated these obviously older iphones to bootloader 4.6? or is it probable it will be the "real" old week 39 iphone with old bootloader?

just asking before opening the package, so i could still return it if it is bootloader 4.6.

i bought 3 week 44 and a 46 this morning here in virginia at the pentagon city mall apple store and 2 more week 44 at an att corporate store locally of corse im stuck with the week 46. but i have faith in the soon to be new unlock
