I have been trying to get my iPhone to 1.1.1 unlocked, activated and jailbroken for more than 8 hours without success... following the iphone dev guide, repeated like 4 times since the begining.. I didint know too much about terminal, ssh, iphuc and all that....

My question is... can I just downgrade to 1.0.2 and activate using simfree and leave my iphone there until a easiest way to upgrade to 1.1.1 is available?

yes you can just run the phone at 1.0.2 and unlock the modem at 4.0 an be happy with it all working untill a easier method comes out

And therein lies your problem. If you dont totally understand SSH, Terminal and others then your best not attempting this at all.

Hopefully it wont be long until iActivator or iNdependance is updated to work with 1.1.1 but until then unless your familiar with the terms you talked about your best not getting yourself into trouble
