Hey peeps, I just have one quick question...

iClarified guide doesn't mention that there is any harm from running their package from any particular version (I've unlocked 2 in 1.1.2 and no probs yet)

ModMyiFone says not to run from 1.1.2 or 1.1.3.

i.unlock.no guide says that it is recommended to run under 1.1.1. (I just unlocked 1 and everything seems fine).

I don't understand, what could happen if I run it in iClarified's guide?

huh? no they do. they recommend you run it w/ a jailbroken 1.1.2 or 1.1.3.

but the answer to your question is unclear at the moment. the guides tell you to run it under 1.1._ firmware b/c the info they get speculates that the type of firmware in which you run it can lead to the no signal issue which many people are having trouble w/

I think there is something in geo's updated code that causes the no signal issue

I mean I ran the unlock without loading/unloading the commcenter. This was a few days ago before he had edited the code at all.

Then, he made a script....thats when the problems started happening.


I think there is something that causes the no signal issue.....Not sure though just speculating.

Observ: I think geo is awesome and in no way mean to disrespect him by saying what i just said, just trying to find the cause of the no signal issue

As I said, i just unlocked 3 with the i.unlock.no method (1.1.1) and worked great, and 3 with the iClarified guide also working ok (1.1.2). Tested all of them for about an hour or so and there isn't any apparent reason. Comment please.

And these were done with OTB 1.1.2 or OTB 1.1.3 ?

I think the problems won't appear on 1.1.2 OTB and 1.1.3 OTB if the software on phones is intact (was not suffering any baseband upgrade or downgrade).
