[Geohot UNLOCK 1.1.2 OTB] Stuck at Recovery Mode
hey guys...need yer help!
I had a 1.1.2 OTB iPhone -> jailbroken to 1.1.1 so I simply skipped the first two steps of the guide and installed and ran the 1.1.2 OTB unlock form installer.app
Now when I plugged my iPhone to iTunes and updated it to 1.1.2 ... the process just stopped and I was prompted with a message " The iPhone could not be restored...and unknown error occured [6]"
I've already tried rebooting my PC and restoring it to 1.1.2 but it gives me the same error.....So what should I do next ? restore to 1.1.1 ? do I have to jailbreak 1.1.1 too coz I already ran the UNLOCK !
also...can iBrickr solve my problem...somehow ???
pleeeassee help...thanks

afaik error 6 could be because of some hardware problems - try switching USB ports, using another computer, say Mac, using other iTunes version just in case

how do you plug your phone? do you use dock or just a cable? if you use dock, try to remove it. try totally removing iTunes including dlls and installing a fresh 7.4 version, you can find it on internet. re-download the ipsw restore file as well. if nothing helps it will mean the reason is due to some inner problems and then the only way to fix it would be to replace the phone itself... please report on the results to my PM, ok?

going from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 - you need oktoprep.
you need to follow instruction and don't skip steps.
I say to start over again...

I found the same problem
I had struggled with my OOB 1.1.2 iphone for couples of days.
And I did it, I have a unlocked 1.1.2 iphone in use.
I got different error code from 6, 1301, ..., etc.
I had encounter this problem for several times.
I can't find any other answer from the web.
OK, here is my suggestion, I don't know if it works for you.
I just shift+restore to 1.0.2 and 1.1.1 and jailbreak, OKprep and update to 1.1.2.
Of course, I got 1015 from 1.0.2 to 1.1.1.
I don't know why.
I tried all what you did with my iphone.
I still have no idea why this happened to me.
You can try my method.
