Default [gbootloader] "bootrom loc 1 not blank" error

I have been trying for ages to get my iPhone back up and running and have returned to gbootloader once more. My phone is one of the super-bricked ones with a corrupted bootloader AND baseband. I can't find much info on it out on the intertubes but I thought I'd give it a shot here since there are some knowledgeable people floating around.

So I got the .bin files for both the 3.9 and 4.6 bootloaders. I uploaded those files as well as the gbootloader files to a directory on my phone using iBrickr. I ran "chmod 775 *" as well as "chmod +x gbootloader" and then ran gbootloader using the syntax:

    Code:
    ./gbootloader secpack bleraser bldl BL-46.bin
What it returns to me is "Bootrom loc 1 not blank" and dumps me back to the terminal prompt.

Clues? And no, BootNeuter will not work for me. It just hangs at "Determining current settings" forever.

You have to use bleraser first.

Also, you can't use an stock firmware image, you need a patched one!
Where did you get the patched image?

I patched gbootloader to skip verification for blank bootrom locations and not patched bootloaders, but it won't build again...

    ideas?
