Ok this is my first iphone first unlock first everything. I got an iphone 2g that i found in my couch. Crazy right? turns out it was my friends who has since gotten the new 4 because he lost his old one in my couch.....anyways. first speedbump was the power button does not function at all so no DFU mode so I have to use an unlock method that does not require that.....I dont want to invest a penny into this phone until I know that I can use it with my current go phone plan. I have wireless internet at work school and home and theres too many hotspots around for me to justify paying for a data plan. So overall goal is to get this thing working with my gophone sim. I installed 3.1.2 and ran blackra1n to unlock. got cydia and bootneuter on it and ran boot neuter. all completed fine. Got the issue where in the corner it always says searching and would not recognize any sim i put in. So i recovered with itunes to 3.1.3 and then installed 3.1.2. Best course of action from here? this phone has never been unlocked jailbroken or messed with in any way. the attempt that failed was the first time and now it sits stock. Any help at all to get the thing working with go phone sim would be awesome.

More details required on what options you used in bootneuter.

Restore with pwnagetool custom IPSW that includes automated unlock with bootneuter.

They are the right settings (well bootloader can vary)

Borrow a mac to use pwnagetool. Don't rely on blackra1n as your primary jailbreak (the only good thing about blackra1n is that it works without requiring DFU mode)
