I desparatly need your help, my friend accidentally restored my iphone to 2.0 beta7, i succesfully managed to downgrade it back, but now i cant call
Now i have baseband 04.05.04_G does anyone know how to unlock it so i can use my iphone again?

I stupidly upgraded to 2.0 Beta 8 and obviously couldn't bypass activation.
I went to restore to 1.1.4 however each time that fails with error 1604.

I have read the other posts on here, and have tried to put it in to a 'black screen' recovery mode but it doesn't seem like its possible. I hold the power and home button for 10 secs, phone turns off. Then as the phone turns off i release the power button while continuing to hold the home button - all that comes up is a Itunes Logo and a USB white cable picture below it.

I've tried over and over and can't get the iphone to boot with a black screen. I think this is something that has been disabled once you upgrade to Beta 8?

I have tried to restore to 1.1.4 using winpwn as well, however once winpwn gets to the step where it changes it to 'recovery' mode it loses connection with the iphone and the iphone gets that stupid itunes and usb picture, and theres no way to reboot the iphone back in to normal mode.

Using Ziphone or the like or ibrickr don't recognise the iphone in this mode its stuck in.

However - I can open itunes and hit restore to 2.0 beta 8 again or 2.0 beta 7 and it restores sucessfully.

Anyone know a way out of this horrible loop?

Don't give up it should work, i just did it yesterday.
Hold both buttons for until switch off (10secs)
Then only hold home button.

Do this when connected to itunes and usb.

just restore you phone to 2.0 and then do what the post said

does not work for me - ERROR: Unrecognized error (20)
