    Default [Firmware] Accidentally upgraded 1.1.4 iPhone 2G to 2.0

    One of my old customers upgraded to 2.0 from 1.1.4 unlocked.

    Is she screwed? Is there anyway to downgrade back to 1.1.4 or do I need to wait for the DEV team to realease their new PWNGE or w/e?

    Thanks.
    Currently Running:

    AT&T Activated BLACK 16GB 3G iPhone (NOT HACKED YET.. dont have a MAC)

    Vista Ultimate 64-Bit iTunes 7.7

    iPhones I've unlocked since September's iUnlock release:
    113 and counting!

    Did her cat jumped on her keyboard while iTunes displayed "are you really nuts enough to install the barely new iPhone 2.0 OS", and then the cat moved mouse to "yes, download and install it please", and this is her true story, rite?

    OK, go to Official SDK forum, chose one of many downgrade methods and save teh cats from such people

    Take a look in Offical Apple iPhone SDK section, there are around 4~5 threads talking on how to downgrade back to 1.1.4

    My sis was undecided as to whether to go for 2.0. She decided to toss a coin for it - heads or tails and best of 3 tosses.
    Unfortunately she had her iPhone plugged into her Mac and unfortunately it was asking if she was daft enough to want to go for 2.0. Well... you will not believe this... on the first toss of the coin it bounced off of her keyboard (hitting the enter button) and came up tails (she was going for tails - no and heads - yes). Unfortunately for her she never noticed the enter key had been depressed. Anyway on the second toss of the coin - unbelievably - it hit the enter button again(again unseen) and came up heads. Well she only had 1 more deciding toss of the coin left - She flicked it up into the air and as it came down it ( and you are never going to believe this!) it landed again on the enter key!!!!! That was it - she was loading 2.0 onto her phone, and didn't even realise! The coin flipping came up 2 tails - so that was a no to upgrading to 2.0. But it was too late! Oh the irony!
    Anyway she now has an iphone that she accidentally upgrade to 2.0 and can't use, really really. She is now asking for help.....

    see: http://sleepers.net/news/?page_id=216

    However I encountered some flaws:
    windows tutorial:
    * uninstall iTunes 7.7, go to your windows documents music folder and delete it
    * install iTunes 7.5
    * put iPhone in DFU (power off, connect to pc, hold power and home for 10 seconds, release power)
    * restore to 1.1.4
    * keep itunes open
    * use winpwn, press iPwner button, when finished go to iLiberty and kick out off recovery (apparently mine keeps on returning to recovery)
    * use iTunes again to restore with custom made winpwn firmware

    Thats how it worked for me ...

    When following http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=1504

    I got to step 6, but when i opened itunes, it does not detect the phone in normal or DFU mode.
