    No, it does say *this* Saturday. "Samedi prochain" means "the coming Saturday".

    Just as a friendly remind to all desperated souls around:

    Apple still has a chance to *not* include a new baseband upgrade on this new firmware.

    If they *dont* include, there is nothing much DEV or any other TEAM to do with it.

    First the berlin bomb, now this. Hope that at least one of them become true.
    But what im afraid is that apple doesnt include a baseband upgrade on it. Cause there is no reason for. And if they do, according to the Dev Team theyll get the secpack and then unlock all 1.1.2. So what i think apple will do is to upgrade just the firmware itself, not the baseband.
    I know that apple had upgraded the baseband before, and it wasnt hacked yet, but I think that now, they wont.
    Thats my opinion, hope im wrong. Have a iphone 1.0.2 with a cracked glass and im afraid to send to apple.

    However, Apple don't have to fight with unlockers. If they REALLY wanted to lock it with AT&T or any other operator in July, they WOULD do it. But it's clear for everyone, that every corporation's goal they keep on mind is how to earn money from their activity. When 1.0.2 was unlocked, million people all over the world purchased it, and they paid their money to Apple at first. So, Apple managers should be interested in soon public unloc too, If unlock of 1.1.2 or 1.1.3 will not be done before Christmas, they will loose great money. Really GREAT money.

    once a baseband update is included with 1.1.3 they may have whats needed for an unlock..
    Keyword may.

    Once you can trick the bootloader into actually flashing a new firmware (by having a newer secpack) there is still the greater issue of the bootloader sig checking the entire baseband.

    Last I heard there was no update in this effort.

    It'd be nice to see a 1.1.2 OOB unlock, but I seriously doubt it'll happen before Christmas.

    The difference between this thread and the Berlin thread is that this one is backed up by cnet, and other sources. They are reliable.

    Also, I thought that the apple customer service in Brazil sucks. I live there, but go to school in the US and last time I called them in Brazil they said it would take 2 months to fix my macbook pro.

    Actually everyone should boy-cot iPhones...:}
    The reason Apple has got together with ANY carrier is to subsidise the cost of the phone and therefore sell more units. They really don't have anything to lose by phones being unlocked but obviously have to keep the 'cat and mouse' thing going to please the likes of AT&T/O2.
