Won't they need access to an iphone with 1.1.2 first? I'm sure the dev team will hack it in time, everything can be hacked!

This 1.1.2 release may not be such a major problem if it will be possible to downgrade to 1.1.1

When all fails. Simply downgrade the baseband and the firmware to 1.0.2 using ibricker so that you can get that white screen. and simply use alt.shift after the unlock is complete and upgrade to the 1.1.1 firmware.

All solved. or wait for the dev team to work there magic.

then remember to set you setting on itunes so that it does not update.

Also if you unlocked your iphone with any sim and it did not work. This trick will also fix it.

I'll put something together shortly with more detailed instructions.

I hope the Dev Team have already had their hands on the new 1.1.2 iPhone since they are coming from all around the world.

Well, well... uhhhmm, let me see... hum!
Ok. After some thinking I would say that 1.1.2 is not a must, of couse. A release with (only?) 2 improvements: the tiff exploit fix and international keyboards out-of-the-box. Not a big deal.

I'd say if you are not German (needing a keyboard with special characters), enjoy 1.1.1 and when this update comes in, see it promenading, getting close to you, and passing by, then wave your hand and say "Oh, no. It's OK, I'll wait for the next one".

Steve, hear us! iPhone hackers have already fixed tiff exploit and spread an easy way to get international settings!!!

ah, also... iTunes 7.5 it's not gonna be a big deal, either.

Just stick to 1.1.1 and if you get 1.1.2 think of downgrading. I'm pretty sure dev team has its hands on this, already, but I'd give it priority "lowest". Let's keep focus on new apps, which apparently Steve and gang don't give us.

Sorry for the long post, I just needed some space to speak my mind :p

Say I have a 1.1.2 iPhone, how am I going to restore to 1.1.1 using the "Shift" - Restore method? I need the 1.1.1 restore file to do that, can I download the 1.1.1 restore file from any website?
