I did this, but don't have a sim currently to test it on.
    Downgrade to 1.02
Jailbreak and activate with apptapp and pacay
install anysim from ibrickr and run anysim.

Should the phone now act as a unlocked 1.02? Or is there anything else I need to do?

No, you can't. You'll brick your Iphone.

Help please. I followed the Dev Team Guide for virgin 1.1.1 http://iphone.fiveforty.net/wiki/ind...ailbreak_1.1.1
When I get to this point:
NOTE: iTunes will now recognize and activate the phone.
I continued to install SSH and appInstaller but my phone is not activated. I tried running PACAY but my phone got stuck on iTunes restore icon. iPHUC can still access my phone and when I do 'ls' I get all the necessary folders. I just need to activate in order to set up wifi to get SSH access. Any ideas?

    I did the test w/ a 03.14.08_G.

Results after Unlock with anySIM 1.1:

    "PN",1,0

    Then I Upgraded to 1.1.1.
New 04.13.08_G baseband over anySIM 1.1 unlocked 03.14.08_G.. NO IMEI ERRORS, looks like anySIM does a clean job in 03.14.08_G. But the phone was relocked.

Then I downgraded the software only (baseband stays 04.13.08_G).
    Ran anySIM 1.1 again.
    Unlocked perfectly. "PN",1,0.

    Conclusions:
anySIM 1.1 does apparently a clean job. But the Unlock is not permanent like IPFS seems to be. When baseband is changed all you have to do is run anySIM 1.1. again.

Since PN state has not changed will assume that the NCK counter didn`t change.
Unless it increases when PN is set to the same PN, but I don`t think so.

Anyway is important to highlight that anySIM`s 1.1 unlock not being permanent is not a flaw but a feature that IPSF does not have.

The ability to let the phone get relocked (for warranty purposes for example) and do not change it`s IMEI is perfect for the non-ATT iPhone customer.

Didn't you have to re-activate and re-jailbreak after update to fw 1.1.1 ?
The SpringBoard just showed up, and use ran anySim 1.1 again ?

Unlocked my virgin iPhone successfully by running

    1) iNdependence 1.2.4 for activation,jailbrake & SSH installation, firmware upgrade to 1.1.1
    2) anysim 's latest version for unlocking

whole process took less than 5 mins and now running iphone on Tmobile..

can someone please confirm ... is it safe to remove anysim.app from iphone now ?
