I have f**ked up... half way through the revirginising tutorial for some reason I decided to go back to the springboard on the iphone from ipsf - which locked the phone and kicked me off putty and winscp...

I got as far as getting my imei .bin file and completing the step

./iUnlock 314secpack (Your_IMEI).bin_loader

as I was kicked off putty I couldnt do the verifications or the last 2 flashes

I rebooted my iphone hoping to start again - but I dont have any wireless connection... what do i do?? I didnt get to finish the following:

./bbupdater -v

You WILL GET ERROR "CAN'T PING TARGER", THAT IS NORMAL !!!! MOST IMPORTANT THAT SECLOADER ARE RUN AND RESTORED SECZONE

e. to be sure, execute again ./bbupdater -v

f. Finally, write patched firmware in phone by executing:

./iUnlock 314secpack 314fls_correct

g. now execute:
./bbupdater -v

it MUST show correct version !

h. And finally, just to be sure:

execute:
./bbupdater -e eeprom.eep

that will write correct eeprom.'

Now I have an iphone that loads to the springboard, but no wifi or phone functionality - can anyone help me with what to do - do I let itunes upgrade me to 1.1.1 then regress and start again?? Phone was an unlocked 1.0.2 that had never been to 1.1.1 before so had no imei issues etc - was just going to virginise it then do the upgrade until I had my moment of madness...

can be fixed ... i did the samething.. did you put this up twice? I believe I responded to this in a another thread...

i posted the reply on page 43 of the guide but here it is again...

OK don't be scared I did the samething lastnight and I spent hours and the fix is very very easy... if you did the ./iUnlock 314secpack... imei... and it died there might be a chance that your imei has gone to 0049... mine did .. thats ok this is what you do...

fire up itues and put your phone in to restore mode and restore to 1.0.2 again.. this will restore wifi.. your going to have to jailbreak and apptap... and if your imei is 0049 its ok... it will be fixed ...

just jailbreak and run apptap again... once in you will notice that wifi is back but you might not be able to obtain an ip address or you will for a min and then you will connect to your route but no ip address..

restart your wireless router (just incase).
just manually enter your ip settings (static) and then once back in to phone redo the the step you started with ...

./iUnlock 314secpack (Your_IMEI).bin_loader'

thats exactlly what happened to me.. i was scared ... but don't worry that will fix it... a goodnight spent fixing my iphone =)

what's the easiest way to jailbreak and apptap on a 1.0.2?

pc mate... does ibrikr do all that for me? (i got the phone pre-unlocked so didnt do this last time round)

ibrikr can do all of that for you... sorry i have a mac as well.. and i just used indepdence for that part.. but yeah ibrikr will work...

ok - ran ibrikr to jailbreak and install the installer - but it still says that it needs to be activated - what's the best software to use for this? Winstaller?

or theres iphonetoolkit but that needs iTunes v7.3.0.54...
