eZiPhone is (yet another) ZiPhone GUI.

What is special about it?

I think it is more easy to understand than the others.

It DOES NOT FORCES you to downgrade the bootloader, but you COULD if you want.

And it just tells you what it is going to do, before doing it.

It also warns you of dangerous things. For example, it would tell you if the IMEI is less than 15 chars, or if you click "downgrade bootloader".

Finally, it does NOT requires NET framework (a 60+ MB download from MS).

You just need to place the eziphone.exe (inside the zip), where your ziphone.exe is.

It is open source (GPL v3), and can be compiled with the open source Lazarus compiler, for Windows, OSX, Linux.

I have even included a "fake ziphone.exe", that only tells you what he has received as commmand line, for those that want to check.

As you can see here, the GUI is very minimalist, but fully functional.

Does this one give you the choice to downgrade bootloader? I see that the official ZiPhone will now automatically downgrade the bootloader to 3.9. Can someone tell me is it just better to downgrade anyway or what? Thanks.

No, it won't, just go to "Click to show extra features", and then UNCHECK Downgrade Bootloader box, and that is that

eZiPhone would give you OPTION to downgrade the bootloader, which many people prefer, but it would not FORCE you to do so.

In fact, it defaults to NO downgrade.

OK, so let me get this straight... There's an official UI, which gives you access to all the features (including not downgrading the BL to 3.9) which is the supported build and all, and yet you offer an alternative which is not supported, and the sole reason is to change the default behavior? I'm sorry, but I don't think that's a good enough reason not to use the official build.

I recommend using the official build, simply because it's got everything you need and is... well... official. But that's just my 2 cents.
