Default Error message when a different sim is inserted into an unlocked phone?

Hey guys, I got lucky and got a week 41 phone with old firmware and bootloader and went ahead and unlocked it with my gf's sim card.

With her sim card in it says t mobile. I then as a test went back and stuck in the unactivated att card and got "No service" .

Does that mean I should be able to successfully swap sims no problem when I get mine from tmobile ? Or am I not out of the woods yet.

    Thanks,
    SGD

you'll just have to activate it with your sim card when you get it. it should work.

if i already activated it with her sim card but it should be swappable right?

I figured after activation when sticking in the old ATT card it should " incorrect sim" and not "No service" .

you wouldnt need to revirginize it. when its unlocked, its unlocked. no need to mess with that unless you update the firmware in the future. activation just makes the phone recognize YOUR sim card.
