I'm not familiar with the problem, but the calibration data is specific to each phone and is encoded during the manufacturing process. If this data were to be corrupted...well...that would be a big problem.

The solution is coming soon: maybe this week...

The problem is caused by the downgrade of baseband from 4.6 phones to 3.9 and only with people that use ziphone.

hmmm, where did you bring this from?

lots of ppl with wrong hw unlock method brought their phone to this situation (invalid calibration data ...), including me...

I do hope the solution will come soon, but no one really knows..beside..maybe the *** team?

    let's keep hope anyway

My wife's iPhone, bought in London on Nov/9th, unlocked using TurboSIM since that time. I didn't install Installer.app on her phone because all she wanted was to make/receive calls, text messages and ipod.

After 3 months, and without anything done to the phone, while it was on top of the table, we saw the "iPhone need repair" message.

Thats my story, no software hacks whatsoever, pretty ordinary phone usage, and its gone.

Never used ZiPhone (but i know what it is).
