Use iBricker to put it in DFU mode (white screen) and restarting my computer after a couple of failed attempts has also worked for me.

You can just manually put it in DFU mode by holding Home + Sleep buttons for about 10 seconds till u get a black screen, then let go of the Sleep button. (I sometimes have to quickly punch the sleep button again to make this trick work, just redo the whole process when u see a white Apple logo)

unlock it with anysim1.1 and if all is working ok then probably you are missing some points on upgrade procedure.
