    Unhappy EDGE/wifi problem in 1.1.3

    Hi,
I have a week 39 anysim unlocked 1.1.3 US iPhone.

Ever since I upgraded to 1.1.3, I am having issues accessing wifi.

I am asked to enter password whenvere I enable wifi on my iPhone.

Even after I enter the correct password, i am asked to enter password again.

I suspect that it may have something to do with my EDGE setiings. I am unable to edit my EDGE network settings. When I enter apn settings, my phone crashes and the settings are rejected.

Is there a way to make my edge setiings editable?

    I am on a mac.

Yeah, there is a way to edit your edge settings

    Download this one
    http://**********.com/files/90912035...N_FIX.zip.html (replace the ** with r-a-p-i-s-h-a-r-e)
    1. winSCP/Putty connect to phone
    2. change to /var/root/Library/Preferences/ and copy the "com.apple.carrier.plist" in it. Backup the already existing file in this folder on your MAC/PC and erase it on the phone
    3. change to /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreTelephony.framework/Support/ and copy the file "UnknownCarrier.plist" in the folder. Backup the already existing file in this folder on your MAC/PC and erase it on the phone
    4. close WinSCP/Putty and reboot your phone
    5. Now you should be able to change the edge settings

It is important that you erase the two existing files in the two folders, after backup

    Do on your own risk

    Good luck

What's odd, is that I dont have original files of those names, in those folders already. I threw the editted files in anyway, rebooted phone and no change. Im going to have a snoop through the rest of the folders and see if I can find them.

Ive come to the conclusion that this is a problem with ZiPhone.

ZiPhone unlocked 1.1.2 - EDGE settings missing - normal unlocked 1.1.2 EDGE settings changeable. Ill be sticking with 1.1.2 until ZiPhone is working sufficiently.
