Discuss downgrade question? at the iPhone "2G" (Rev. 1) - Hackint0sh.org; can an OTB1.1.2 upgraded to 1.1.3 be downgraded ?...
can an OTB1.1.2 upgraded to 1.1.3 be downgraded ?
Upgraded my iPhone OTB 1.1.2 /4.06 bootloader to version 1.1.3 using iTunes. Tried to restore it to 1.1.1 using iTunes (Option Restore - point to 1.1.1 ipsw downloaded file earlier). It does not work.
Read somewhere that it works for iPodTouch using iPhuc. Tried iPhuc command "filecopytophone" in iPhuc recovery mode command. Does not work either.
Most of the successful reports are either for iPodTouch or for those iPhone that DON'T mentioned iPhone with OTB 1.1.2 with 4.06.
I am using MacOS 10.5.1 and iPhuc 7.4.2 with OTB 1.1.2 bootloader 4.06 purposely upgraded to 1.1.3 to test the 1.1.3 features.
I am now stuck with non functional iPhone as I can't revert it back to the original settings of OTB1.1.2 or a downgrade version of 1.1.1 using Option-Restore. You are not alone.
There are some many threads here about 1.1.3 but not on downgrading a 1.1.3 to a 1.1.1 of a OTB 1.1.2/4.06 iphone.
All successful downgrading reported were from iphone with 3.09 bootloader or iPodTouch
So for those guys who happen to bought a new iPhone with 1.1.3 or those iphone with 4.06 bootloader who accidently upgraded to 1.1.3, keep your fingers crossed!
Hope that hacker community do not speculate if they found a way to do it with their phone and not the rest of the other iphones made.
What works with 3.09, it might not work with 4.06! similarly if it works for ipodTouch, it might not work for iPhone. Test it first report the facts. Don't speculate the facts if you don't have the device.
I learn it the hard way from reputable websites claiming that it can be done. Nah, they did not state their iphone bootloader!
So axamellio, the answer is NO......NOT YET!

Reason: paragraph mistakes
Yeah, this is just killing me... I was forced to go up to 1.1.3 i iTunes in order to fix the baseband that some idiot virginize application f***** up... I'm not happy.
But I bet that now that they start selling new 1.1.3 phones, the hackers must find a way.. How fast do we think 1.1.4 will come out? 2-3 months?
