I followed the instructions to the letter and got every error message as originally described, but I am still getting the invalid sim message. AppTapp installed OK. Any ideas?
[EDIT: I left out a piece of information. I cannot get it working on my PC. After the 10sec wait iTunes says "Waiting for iPod" (yes, iPOd) and stays on there forever. But I was able to follow the whole process through on my Macbook Pro.]

Are you absolutely sure that this also downgrades baseband firmware?
Even if you downgrade it, it usually won't downgrade the baseband and not unlockable.

It doesnt downgrade the baseband frimware, you have to install SSH on the iPhone and Putty in to use bbupdater like doing a virgin reflash. then you can unlock

You'll continue to get the incorrect SIM error until the bb is reflashed.

There is no confirmed method of downgrading the baseband yet, only the firmware. Check the sticky here in the Unlock forum, they will eventually find a way of doing this.

First of all, thanks to everyone that helped me successfully get my "brick" back online. However, now i have the issue of getting my sim to work. Can i just use the previous anysim method or is this unlikely to work? Am i just going to have to wait until a new bbupdater is posted? Or do i have to do a "virgin" restore?
Basically, what do i do now to unlock my phone?
