Does restoring FW wipe out everything?
I dropped the phone and the bottom half of the touch screen doesnt work. There are no scratches or cracks on the glass so I am going to exchange it at the Apple store. I just did a restore to FW 1.1.2. I know that will wipe out all my installed apps, contacts, email, etc. Will that also wipe out evidence of unlocking the phone or do I need to revirginize it down to 1.1.1? Thanks!

everything will be wiped out. just sync before restore.
itunes auto backs up personal data, including email accounts (including password!! wtf! that means everyone who has an iphone and has access to your backup files can get full access to your email boxes. note that the backup files are not protected by anything), contacts, call records, sms, safari bookmarks, cache, cookies, browser histories, and wifi settings during every sync.
apps and email messages will not be restored.
