    Question Which Method, patched lockdown..?

    I have been looking through this forum and and lot of other helpful forums
    I want to use a 02 pay as you go sim in my UK OTB 1.1.2 Iphone
    When on this forum someone kindly showed me the following tutorial ...
    HERE
    This mentions no need for a patched lockdown unless you have no signal..
    While looking i also found this ...
    HERE
    This says you need a patched lockdown to use ANY O2 Sim.
    Both methods are similar except that one says you need a patched lockdown file while the other says you do not.....
    Do i need a patched lockdown....?
    and which method is better.....?

    Any help is appreciated

    I have been on a different forum and people have confirmed the google doc's tutorial does work can anyone confirm i dont need the lockdown file...?

    I just restored one of my 1.1.2 OTB and didn't use lockdownd and it got signal from a o2 PAYG sim no problem.
