Default DIGG This: Nokia Unlocks Anti Apple Campaign

    http://digg.com/tech_news/Nokia_unlo...Apple_campaign

That's some really topical advertising. I'm not a fan of Nokia, but if it gets Apple's attention and gets them some bad press, maybe they'll lay off with blocking developers and unlock attempts?

Reminds me of when the two guys in NYC posted stuff about their batteries dying, which was covered a lot in the press and eventually led to Apple replacing batteries and better warranty terms.

What a load of crap. Nokia locks nearly all their phones to the carriers becasue of the carrier subsidy. Bloody hippocrites.

Apple has a legal obligation to ATT to keep that phone locked. If they don't, no royalties.

Nokia sells their phones in two flavours, locked and unlocked. Apple doesnt give u the chance to buy it unlocked, good thing that theres a Dev Team that unlock it for us.

    Dugg!

Pressure is mounting on Apple...that is good. Reminds me of the time when Apple dropped the price of the iPhone. Hopefully this time around something good will come out of it.

i bought a phone with a op subsidy... called up, requested a subsidy pin, (cost 15 or $30) and voila, my N95 now works on all networks...

but one thing that was never done, was locked so i couldn't install applications, which is what the nokia site is aiming at..
