I'm in the mood for getting flamed, so this is why i'm posting this..

what are the main differences between the unlock.app (stolen / based upon Erika code) and the anySim that the devteam released a couple of days later.

i'm asking because i used the unlock.app and obviously, perfeclty fine and unlocked under 1.0.2, but when something gets released ready for 1.1.1 i'm curious to where i stand. Can i change and use the newer 1.1.1 version of anySim, or am i basically screwed, and need to stay where i am?

this reminds me when custom firmware was freshly released on the psp, before that people were using devhook, its a similar situation, people asking which one is better and all that. only time will tell

i'm not asking which is better, i'm kinda asking, am i stuck with 1.0.2 now, because of using the harro unlock.app, or will i still be able to use anything the devteam produce.

if it is a case of a time will tell.. i'll wait patiently.. i'm not to fussed about the "features" 1.1.1 gives me anyway...

once the dev team release a relock you will be free to upgrade to 1.1.1 and then use whatever new unlock that comes out. I hope that harro makes a new fast-unlock 1.1.1 , as I thought it seemed to have the highest success rate without problems. But I really want to see a free eeprom unlock like the ipsf unlock that allows firmware upgrades without needing to unlock again and also has the full firmware in place instead of a hacked version missing bytes.

in a way i agree, you say you have the highest success rate without any problems, and personally, i've not had any problems at all with my unlock... fingers crossed something comes out in the coming weeks...
