OTB 1.1.2 iPhone 4.6BL Currently1.1.4 FW (iPlus2.0b) Activated/Jailbroken/Unlocked (iPlus2.0b) Call In/Out: Yes/Yes SMS In/Out: Yes/Yes WiFi/Edge: Yes/Yes Carrier: Rogers (Sux LOL) Thanks to all the Dev's on hacking the iPhone!

did they provide a reason to do so?

Their reasoning is that if they release the jailbreak now, apple will just patch it with the next update. The logic behind that is unreasonable though, because i find it very hard to believe that apple is waiting on the hackers. They're gonna find the exploit, they have people working on this too.

look like the all thing went far, far away....so much about community and stuff....apparently, as I read some other thread, an unlock will be dated also with release of JB.
Think I get me a ***SIM, I've be waiting too long for this....
All the best for efforts and stuff, but for me, "the war is over"
cannot wait till end of Feb. (even Jan is not over)

i noticed that their wiki is down also, but i certainly hope when it gets on again the jailbreak and unlock aka anySIM 1.3 will be out so we can enjoy in the new features new firmware brings on.

I disagree. Every update that Apple released since iPhone came out patched exploits that were used to jailbreak/unlock (eg: bootloader upgrade from 3.9 to 4.6 that patched sig check, tiff exploit used to jailbreak 1.1.1 etc..).
So Apple is waiting for hackers to find the next weakness to make sure that subsequent release patches this. I'm not saying they aresoley relying on hackers to find weaknesses, but they will make sure weakness found won't be usealbe in the next update.I disagree. Every update that Apple released since iPhone came out patched exploits that were used to jailbreak/unlock (eg: bootloader upgrade from 3.9 to 4.6 that patched sig check, tiff exploit used to jailbreak 1.1.1 etc..).

All I'm saying is that whether we find them or Apple finds them, its gonna be patched with the next update. So why not take advantage of the hole while we can?
And if they hold this jailbreak till the next update, and it isn't patched by Apple then i will apologise to the entire hacking community. But I find it very hard to believe that with the amount of security already put into the iPhone, Apple isn't going to let it slide into the next update.
