i don't really care what the mods think personally i agree that someone should def. provide some kind of update. they would probably get more donations that way as well. i'm using stealth sim right now so they can take all they time in the world, but i think that someone should provide updates

You're all about to be horribly flamed by people from all over the world, this topic is about to be locked, your heads are about to be chopped by raging walking non-mercyfull land sharks, and the DevTeam IS working on the unlock. Be patient.

I second that. I don't see what the problem is if they would come out and say that they are having hard time decrypting whatever, or that they are almost done but are doing testing or what else. Whatever they say will make people make up their minds -- whether to wait or whether to buy a *sim.
Sure no one asked them to be their saviour, but they came in and were regarded as such. Now people look up to them. The mods claiming they owe the community nothing are wrong. Because we all are, dev team included, the community, and they do owe us something, even if it was an apology they don't have time and won't be able to pursue this any longer.

I agree both sides, but as an IT Member, I know for sure how it would help some words from Dev Team
Sometimes, in a middle of a BIG problem, when everybody is nervous and anxious about the solution, it´s a good idea to give some feedback in order to let people calm down
Just a "In the right path, but it gonna take some more time" or "Do not expect nothing for the next two weeks" or "Just about to finish the software!!" would be nice to hear...
Anyway, keep on going DevTeam!!!!

Reality check:
1. You bought a phone knowing it is (at least out of the box) locked to a certain network
2. You had and still have full intention to bypass the lock, and NEVER to use the predefined network
3. Certain very good people are using THEIR time and THEIR resources trying to find a solution that will enable you to do point 2
4. The only thing YOU DO is visit this forum every day (or more often) and check for news
WHAT ON EARTH GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO REQUEST ANYTHING FROM DEV TEAM??? YOU ASK FOR AN UPDATE, ARGUING THAT THE "COMMUNITY" DESERVES AN ANSWER?!?!?!
There are two communities - one that is waiting for a freebie from the experts, which you and me and many more are a part of, and another, which has probably bricked half of their iphones, and spent countless sleepless nights doing something for us.
If you are tired of waiting, go and buy xSIM. Alternatively, start hacking the iPhone yourself.
Otherwise, SHUT THE FUCK UP and WAIT
