Default root password?
I have just unlocked my iPhone and installed BSD Subsystem and OpenSSH. When trying to login as root (using Putty) then "dottie" password is not accepted, any ideas?

Thanks, in which directories on the filesystem do I copy music and videos?

/var/root/Media/iTunes_Control/
If you try to copy to that directory, the files won't be recognized by iPod unless the iTunes Library is updated.

Thanks man!
Is it safe to use iTunes after unlock to add music?
Is it safe to change root password?

They have bash and many UNIX tools in there, great job!

It's never been safe to use iTunes at any circumstances, but it won't lock you up after the unlock+jailbreak+activation
It's unsafe to not change the root password. use passwd command to change it.

I know how to change the password, what I meant is that some programs might rely on the known password (like to install applications etc). Anyhow, how can I transfer music on the phone? Can't do it with iTunes, can't do it with ssh.

you can use winscp to connect to your phone.
Now I have a little problem when i transfer big files.
Seems like if iphone is left idle for a while it loses? connection to the wi-fi even though it shows its active.
What i did was ping the phone once and while and keep webbrowsing while uploading the ringtone to keep it from losing the connection.
I use this guide: http://modmyifone.com/wiki/index.php...n_iPhone_1.1.1
but I don't see the ringtone after the reboot.
The ringtones length is 3:30.013
so when i enter the length i tried both 330013 and 210013(3minx60secs=180 +30sec =210)
but dind work.
My next attempt it so use an mp3 thats less than 1 min.
I ll let you know later today!
