A general 8900 Apple file decrypter is now available from the Elite google page:

If you use this program on the ramdisks for firmware 1.1.1 and up, you can open the resulting decrypted ramdisk with HFSExplorer v0.19 available from:

UPDATE: ZIP file now includes the openssl cygcrypto-0.9.8.dll file for windows as well as an iphone executable (sorry, I have no Mac available to compile it on). Updated code now also correctly handles un-encrypted 8900 files by only stripping the header and the footer.

Cann't run EXE under Windows, no DLL error "cygcrypto-0.9.8.dll not found"

All dll can be found in ibrick

ibrickr 0.91 does not has these files

Latest iBricker which came with Nates JB does have them.

I would also prefer than any utilities would be windows native...

Still cann't decrypte .dmg from 1.1.1 allways get error "Bad magic"

I have unziped ipsw of 1.1.1 and take biggest dmg - file.

run command
8900decryptor.exe xxx.dmg output.img
result error "Bad magic"

I had the same error on decrypting dmg files from 1.1.1 on OSX.
I thought that I done a mistaked with the make on osx...

It's for the RAMDISK, people!!!

The biggest file is the normal file system, decryptable with vfdecrypt! The other ones do work with this...

dumb question, (probably asked already) but worth asking anyway..now you can re-sign ipsw files...

replacing the fls and eep files within the 1.1.3 ramdisk with those of an earlier 'unlockable' firmware. has this been discounted? assuming it has but also wondering if it bricks or just does nothing.

it kinda makes some sense.... or it it just me.
