Default Dead Pixel on new OTB iPhone

I just bought a new OTB week 47 iPhone from someone on a local forum. The iphone was BNIB, sealed and everything. I took it out today and turned it on and there is 1 dead pixel in the middle of the screen, what are the chances of me getting a new one if I called Apple?

Probs a stupid question but thought I would throw it out there.

    just go in and ask
be nice, say you want your nice EXPENSIVE iphone to be perfect, as you should expect from apple
theres no reason for them to replace it, unless theyre nice. and theyre more likely to be nice if you are
also, in person would be more likely to get a replacement

I had one shipped from the UK to Portugal and I had one dead pixel at the very bottom of the screen. Didn't really get in the way, but it bothered me a bit.

Since I wasn't going to ship it back, I played a few videos to see if I could "revive" the pixel. It worked

There are even some specialized videos for this (that just flash red, green and blue or something). Try it before you take it back.

    Smile

It might not be a dead pixel, just hope that it's a stuck pixel instead.

Why don't try to fix it.

Go here to read the instruction.

Then, go here using iPhone's safari to try the fix:

I have 2 stuck pixel, after trying the method, my 2 stuck pixels were gone forever the next day. (Note that it might not go away immediately, my 2 stuck pixels were actually gone after 24 hours later)
