I thought this was going to be a slam dunk, but it looks like everyone has different symptons.
Please help, all I wanted to do was Jailbreak and Activate. I seriously think of trying ZiPhone to Jailbreak and Activate.
I am in same situation!
I upgraded through ziphone, but then decided it was a mistake & restored & did the process through iliberty.
Which is great, EXCEPT it's taken away Installer and i can't get it back.
I desperately want it back, but all this is a little double dutch!
I've downloaded the installer file but I don't understand how to get it back on my iphone.
I have "iPhoneBrowser" on my pc, can i add installer on with that?
If so can someone help me?
Apparently i have OpenSSH, but the only way i know that is because i came across it in the uninstall section of Cydia. (of which i have not touched)
Otherwise i don't know...
Ok start afresh...
NOTE: Make sure you are not running any major applications in the background while iliberty is running. No screen savers, no antivirus scans running (it can be activated, but not actively scanning), no photoshop work actively going on, and anything else that is likely to slow down your computer. Just be on the safe side.
1 - Restore your phone with itunes and once its done restoring, dont do anythingelse with itunes, the next steps are with iliberty.
2 - Use ilibery+ but if you want the installer.app you have to go into Advanced, then to Payload Available On Repo, then click the Refresh button and wait for it to finish.
When its done, you will see a list of payloads, you need to scroll down to find Installer. Select Installer and then click the Download button.
When that is done downloading, go to Local Payloads and sellect Installer and any other one you want to install.
WARNING: DO NOT select Bsd Subsystem, Open SHH and Cydia. Its better to install them AFTER the crirical process youre going to go through with the phone, through Installer. Less hassle that way.
Go to Selected and look at what you have selected so you are sure, and if you are happy with it, then click the Go For It button to start the process.
Itunes will complain a few time throughout the process, but dont worry, you can ignore it. Just let iliberty do its job.
Thats it, Good luck.

But, then I realized I didn't have "Installer" on my iPhone. So, I just went back without any restore process, and used iLiberty+ again with "Jailbreak" and "Installer" selected (see above process)...and clicked "Go for it!". Worked like a charm. Got "Installer" and "Cydia" now on my iPhone. Both working. It's all good.

Using the Best of both the worlds right now (installing applications from Cydia first..if not available.. then from Installer). Just need to test it for 2-3 days & see if nothing untoward happens. As of now, everything working extremely fine.
