Crying For Help~~~ Itunes Does Not Recognize My Iphone
so i decided to upgrade to 1.1.1 today
i had a 1.1.1 OTB, downgraded baseband and firmware to 1.02 fully unlocked iphone
so i decided to upgrade to 1.1.1 unlock today
so i used the virginizer here http://iphone.unlock.no/#how-to-virginize-easily
and then i tried going into DFU mode in itunes to restore it the firmware to 1.1.1
I knew how to do it on windows but this time i was doing it in a mac....(kaz i'm @ work n therez no windows machine)
but apparently shift-restore or command-restore didn't work well...so i played around it a little more...
NOW....
i guess i played around it a little too much and itunes is no loner recognizing my phone...
n even i plugged in the cable the phone is not recognized nor charging.
There was one time i got the itunes recognized as an ipod(instead of an iphone) and at the end itz an error(-14)
so what can i do now>_<?

don't quite get what u mean?
when i plug in the iphone,
ituens won't even respond to it
itunes does not see my iphone at all
neither does independance 1.2.5 sees it...
ONLY independance 1.2.5 detects my iphone when it is in DFU mode...
but i can't do no shit about it...
the problem i'm having is...nothing detects my iphone..

Does your computer recognize the phone (not iTunes)? Also, have you tried putting your phone into DFU mode?

Im not sure if my computer recognizes the phone...
I CAN put it in DFU mode, but iTunes still can't see it....
however, independance can see itz in DFU mode....

You need to ssh into it with something like winCSP so you can get to the file system. You do not have to be connected to the cable at this point.

so u're saying it's normal that itunes/independance doesn't detect my phone?

Yes I had the same exact issue. Did you look at the post I sent you to. Are you getting a message like that? That was my issue after I updated to 1.1.1. Everything worked fine except I could not sync to itunes. After searching I found that I just had to rename the files I gave you in the earlier post. As long as ssh is and you have wi-fi you can use winscp to ftp into your phone and see those files then rename as the post says.

I would still try the step I suggested. If it does not work you can just rename them back...Thats all I can suggest. Maybe someone else can give some suggestions
