Default Crisis! The iPhone just keeps rebooting

    Hi

I have the brand new iPhone with the 1.1.2 from USA.

I have been trying to use iBrickr without success, because when I use iTunes
the recovery process fails every time.

Now, the iPhone turns itself on and all this text keep flashin over the screen in rapid pace, before rebooting and doing the same all over without stopping. I can't turn it off using the on/off switch. I can turn it off by pushing that button as well as the home button but then it just switches off and when I connect it to my PC iTunes won't find the device.

PLEASE tell me what to do, step by step. I know I can't get it to work as a phone yet because of the AnySIM isn't out yet, but at least I want it to work as a Touch....

Thanks! anyone????? have I ruined the iPhone?

I had the same on a not so brand new iPhone form the US, it happend during an attempt to unlock 1.1.2 firmware.

I first tried to downgrade it from 1.1.2 with iBrickr, this is where it went wrong and what caused exactly what you described.

to fix it i put the phone in DFU mode and did a restore to 1.1.2 firmware, it failed, so i did it again, failed, i tried it with 1.1.1, also failed, aftherthat i tried another restore to 1.1.2, and this time to my amazement it succeeded, don't really know why it worked, but maybe this approach can be succesfull for you as well.

Yeah but what happens is that nothing happens. Sure I get contact with the iBrickr, but there is absolutely no action in iTunes.

On the iPhone right now there is a picture of the iTunes-logo and the white cord, but when I hook it up with iTunes nothing happens.

Can something else happen if I change computers?

The iPhone has gone through various attempts of installing new versions but it was always failing, perhaps something just screwed it up...
    Thanks

I am sick and tired of looking for fixes to this, I think it's broken and that's pretty poor given it's just software and not hardware.

iBrickr finds the device and when I try to go to the DFU mode the display turns white and after that, nothing. Doesn't open in iPhone and and nothing happens in iBrickr. I then try to fix it when clicking "begin downgrade to firmware 1.0.2", the screen turns green and nothing happens. I go to iTunes but it won't detect the iPhone at all. WHAT TO DO?

Is it broken? That's 400 dollars right down the dumpsters
