    2. I tried unlocking my iPhone but it came up with an error!
--> Solution: Completely restore iPhone by holding 'On/Off' and 'Home' buttons for around 25 seconds, then plugging into iTunes. Then try another unlock method.

This is misleading. If you have previously tried to unlock your phone, then for sure ANYSIM will NOT work (cannot locate bytes to patch error).

Simply restoring via itunes is not a virgin restore.

    Coments on:

    5. The "Call Forwarding is Enabled" message.

This is a standard feature on the iPhone. It automatically goes on its own after a few seconds. It is simply there to tell you calls will be forwarded to voicemail because you are making a call. If you enable call waiting or turn off call forwarding all together, the message will no longer appear but why would you want turn off call forwarding to voicemail!?!??!?

Some people in the linked threads state:
"I managed to get rid of it by enabling call forwarding and then disabling it"

    Oh My God!!!
Of-course it disappears if you disable all call forwarding, it does say "Call forwarding is enabled" after-all so what would they expect it to carry on saying it if you've disabled call forwarding ????

Those people now don't have any forwarding to voicemail !!!

They haven't done some sort of magic trick, they have simply disabled all call forwarding, guess what, doing that turns off the call forwarding message :-)

I don't see why people are struggling with this, it does not interfere with phone functionality at all.

    NICE Thread, keep it up.

I call for a sticky and a mandatory read before one is able to move on.

I cant even connect to iTunes period..
I dont know why this iPhone wont connect..(ive unlcoked about 5 phones and all have been perfect)

the message I get when I connect this iPhone to itunes is:

"We could not complete your iTunes Store request. A security network connection could not be established

Make sure SSL 3.0 or TLS 1.0 is enabled in the internet options control panel, then try again"

So basically I cant even update the iphone to Ver. 1.02 and get anywhere with the unlocking process...

    Can anyone help?

    thanks
