How do i confirmed firmware from box ?

Just unlocked 2 phones 7R739xxxxxH8. FW out of the box is 1.0.2.

by the way, 2 phones are purchased this afternoon, 30 Sept, 5PM at Apple store, Mayfield Heights, OH.

I'm from the UK, currently in Canada for a few weeks. Yesterday I went to Seattle, and purchased an iPhone from an Apple retail store.

It is week 39 in format 7R739.....WH8

and.... wait for it..... IT HAS FIRMWARE 1.0.1/1.0.2!!!

I'm excited about getting this dude unlocked and working on O2 without a lengthly expensive contract.

Can I ask which "method" people are using to activate and unlock their iphone... I have access to both a PC and a powerpc mac.... is there a preference for unlocking?

which store in Seattle did you purchased your phone from? Alderwood Mall?? Can you reply me, 'cause I want to get it before it run out. Thanks!

I think my phone is a 1.1.1 but want to test it using this method. I can't seem to get it into restore mode. Any thoughts? Also, once in restore mode, do you have to plug it in and restore? I ask because if indeed this is 1.1.1, I don't want to keep it and will return to the store. Thanks.

Weird, I did another field test for shits and giggles and for a split second in between the Keypad and the test, I saw the Springboard. The iTunes icon was there. Version 04.01.13_G is 100% 1.1.1
