    Default A change

    Hey...
    How are you guys doing?

XianLi and myself have been discussing how we can make this section cleaner. With people posting something new everyday and not using the search feature, we've gone from 27 pages to 52 pages of threads just in the Unlocking section within a few weeks.

An idea popped into my head and if someone has already stated this ( I believe not) I apologize in advance.

I believe that if we divided up the Unlocking section, into various sections based on the FW and rumors. That way if you want something on the 1.0.2 FW, you click on the unlocking section, then you click on the 1.0.2 section.

Makes things easier... and could clean up unecessary stuff.

We are trying to improve the website, so inputs and comments are more than welcome.

If I remember correctly someone suggested this before but that person suggested that the division should be dividing unlocking into software unlock and hardware unlock.

I suggested to XianLi to divide the section at least into Unlock and Jailbreak.
    Apologies accepted

Well... since people just don't get it, drastic measures must be taken.
In that sense, hell yeah! Split up the forum!

    Apple
    sucks.
    Microsoft rules.

    TurboSIM-like methods? No way.

    - Unlocked Week 47 1.1.3 iPhone, baseband 04.04.05_G.
    - Bought in Minneapolis, MN;
    - Currently on TIM carrier.

I'm not here to find help. I'm here to help others and give back what I've learned from Hackint0sh.

I think further subdivision is a good idea. However, the natural subdivision would be by baseband (or bootloader) version: that's where the relevant differences are. I think a 1.1.3 section would quickly fill up with upgraded 1.0.2's, 1.1.1's, 1.1.2's as well as OTB 1.1.3's, since many members don't know the precise difference when they first post.

How about a Jailbreaking and an Unlocking section? That would be a start, and easier to understand.

Installing Cydia programs on a phone that has no internet connection: read this.

Editing binary .plist, .strings, .nib and .xib files:
    * on your computer: Windows tool / conversion website.
    * on your iPhone: convert those files in a terminal with plutil (installed with Erica Utilities) or edit them with iFile (Cydia links).
