Can't Unlock NEW 1.1.2 iPhones?
i'm just wondering what the situation is, if i bought a brand new iPhone with the 1.1.2 firmware installed i can't unlock?
are the downgrade + unlock options available? or is there something new?
(i don't have many posts, but i've been reading this website for months and it's plagued with useless posts that clutter the search results and never answer plain and simple questions.)

I think you did not read well, there is some rated posts about this issue.
Currently no unlock software method for 1.1.2 out of the box (OOTB), since it comes with new bootloader. There is hardware unlock method but waiting for dev team to finish the tutorial.

Oh give the man a break! I'm also a n00b to this, only got a Mac last month and the iPhone last week. I consider myself well educated in technology but all this is full of new terminology and not always obvious where to find what you're looking for. I'm sick of people flaming newbies --if you can't help the man, just navigate away to a different thread and ignore him, no need to make him feel bad just because you presumably know more than he does.

I agree there should not be hostile replies or make people feel bad however on the first page of the unlocking threads there are at tons of topics answering all the questions for 1.1.2.
Whats frustrating is that every few hours this very same post is asked and answered - all you have to do is click thru two pages of the forum to see somebody has already asked the same thing.
Im sorry and disappointed if people are rude here however it really is laziness on a lot of peoples behalf that they dont read first, fair enough with more obsucre questions but NOT the can you unlock 1.1.2? This is now being asked every few hours or so and is getting way out of hand
Here is a great lazy example that I read somewhere here yesterday
"im a total noob with a 1.1.2 phone, I dont have time to do a search so please answer, thabks in advance blah blah............"
Oh yeah - the answer is no and check out Turbosim (see im not rude but understand peoples frustrations)

You're right fella...and these guys don't understand that as far as they keep on replying to these posts with their bloody sarcasm they keep the post itself up on the list!

It's really quite easy, nooob or not, most forums have stickies or FAQ's that usually state to look through previous posts before posting.
I was a noob to this forum a couple of weeks ago but I still trawled through all the relevant posts which took time, I didn't expect people to repeat themselves over and over and over again because I was too damn lazy to look.
Asking the same questions will not produce an unlock any quicker and no matter how important you feel you are the search tool is there for every one, so use it before posting.

Springer's final thought;
If you are too much of a retard to search the forum and understand the posts, what chances do you think you have of actually applying the unlock methods when they do become available?
Until the next time, bye, bye!
