    Default Can't Downgrade?

    hi everyone,

i had a sw unlocked iphone 1.0.2, and i have virginized it, and updated it to 1.1.1.
But all the methods for jailbraking it are not working..
i went to http://jailbrake.*something*.com but my browser didn't froze, i could browse the whole site.
so i wanted to downgrade to 1.0.2, and just forget about 1.1.1, but it won't downgrade anymore..
if i hold the power + home button for 10 seconds, and then release only the powerbutton.
it will say please connect to itunes, and when i hold shift and click on restore..and select the 1.0.2 version.. it says: can't restore because of a unknown error[1].
i tried itunes the newest itunes version, and a old one.. but no luck

can someone please tell me what to do?

    EDIT:
i can restore 1.1.1, but 1.0.2 is impossible

Try using independence to go in DFU mode.

I think there are also some win apps out there that do the same. Have a pc, but that is only for having it I use mac all the time, so i'm not sure if there is anything out there that does the same.

IBrikr will work for you mate - did exactly the same thing myself last night... plug in the iphone to the usb dock and follow the prompts on IBrikr to restore to 1.0.2 - if you want to stay on 1.0.2 it will also do the jailbreak for you so you can use anysim to unlock :-)

If you want you can then try the upgrade attempt again (mine worked the 2nd time round)

Shout if you get stuck mate - I know the frustration well!

Same happened to me, I restarted and used iBrickr. You can install 1.1.1 fresh again and follow the ULTIMATE guide to activatae/JB/unlock.

Make sure you spell "jailbreak" properly when you visit the site in the first step before starting touchfree.
