Hello everyone!

I have an 1.1.1 jailbreaked and unlocked using anysim that I recently updated to 1.1.2, then jailbreaked and unlocked again using anysim. This day I updated to 1.1.3 and decided to jailbreak it and activated using zibri's tool in order to unlock it using anysim 1.3.

The zibri's tool worked fine until the iPhone rebooted showing the emergency call screen...

Now I can't downgrade it because everytime I try I get the following error: "The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error ocurred (1)."

Any thoughts on this? How can I go back to 1.1.1 again?

The expected error, I think is the 1015 error, but....
Try opening iBrickr and boot it in "normal" mode....

Nop...the expected one is error (1015) when it actually does the downgrade.

In my case, after the restore process extracts the file it gives the error (1) without downgrading or anything..

What is the equivalent of iBrck for the Mac OS X?

Put the iPhone into DFU mode (hold power +home buttons on iPhone, hold for about 10 seconds, then release power button and KEEP holding home. This will take your phone into DFU mode and you'll be able to downgrade firmware.

error 1 is when you dont put in dfu mode .

it extracts the firmware and displays the error....

just put it in dfu mode before downgrading!

Read up on restore mode vs. DFU mode. Restore won't work, DFU will. There are a few ways to enter DFU.

To put an iPhone in DFU Restore (not the same as regular restore).

Two ways:

1. Turn on your speakers.
2. Hold both buttons until you hear Windows disconnect.
3. Release power button, and continue holding home button.
4. iTunes will recognize the phone in restore mode, but the screen will be black. SCREEN MUST BE BLACK for DFU mode.

Other way:

1. Turn off phone and disconnect from USB.
2. Hold home button.
3. Plug in USB and wait for iTunes to recognize phone in restore mode.
4. Again, iTunes much recognize the phone is in restore mode, and the screen must be black. If there is a picture of iTunes, and the USB cable, you're in regular restore, not DFU restore.

How to put iPhone in DFU mode easily

Many of you are facing the error (1) or error (6) while downgrading the firmware. In this situation, you need to put your iPhone in DFU mode, than restore or downgrade the firmware. Here is the easy way to do so:

Step 1. Turn off your iPhone.

Step 2. Hold Power and Home button, the iPhone should now be boot.

Step 3. When you see the Apple logo, release the power button but HOLD the home button.

Step 4. Open iTunes and wait for it to tell you in restore mode.

Also, NTL leave a comments to stated that how to put the iPhone in DFU mode easily. Take it as an alternative method if the above does not work for you.

Step 1. Connect iphone to USB then listen to the sound when it connect and disconnect.

Step 2. Hold 2 buttons until hear disconnect sound then release power button.

Step 3. Wait until hear another sound then release home button.

Well, I don't want to be harsh...but DFU is not my problem here...the phone is in DFU mode already, the main problem is that the downgrade process is not working at all because iTunes is not being able to downgrade.

My iTunes version is 7.5 btw
