Intex1, when the itunes gets to the point where it shows the globe, does itunes recognize it? If it does, why don't you try to restpre to 1.1.2 [ have itunes download a new one].

While You have seeing the globe on the screen you have to restore the iphone again.I think you have missed a point of something here.

My problem is that the iPhone will not stay on long enough to do anything.
When I power on the iPhone, i get the the main home screen, but sometimes the touch buttons work, and sometimes they don't, so I can not check what version firmware I have. When I runn AppTapp, It looks, but can NOT find the iPhone.
update ...I finally got in, it says version is 1.0.2 firmware, and IMEI is 0049990.
What do I do from here????

When I plug in the USB cable and run iBricker, iBrickr says it CAN NOT connect to the iPhone??

At this point, ibrickr and apptapp can not help you. Its possible that you may have a software error but it seems more likely a hardware one.
Your best hope is to use itunes to restore your phone. You will need to
"special restore mode: hold power + home for 10 seconds, then home for another 10 seconds. Itunes will then recognize the phone being in restore mode. " . Then restore your phone. Timing is critical, use a stop watch if you have to.
