yeah, all you gotta do is upload the patched lockdownd to /usr/libexec/
Well, after doing that, go to Settings > General > About and tell us if you have:
    IMEI and ICCID Unknown
    or
    IMEI 0049
After you tell me that, I can guide you to the right direction...

Well, you could start by virginizing your phone, look for it, there are easy ways of doing that...

EDIT: Sorry, I hurry up things a little bit, first install: BSD Subsystem. After that, check if you still have Wi-Fi

OK, I have now installed lockdown, and went thru the rest of the installation proceedure at unlock-it.org, then installed anysim, etc..

Not all the files were installed according to the messages, but the proceedure says to ignore the errors.

Under>settings>general>about, it says the version is 1.0.2 (IC28), but there is NO mention of EMIE number.

Wifi works, because I can surf the web.
    Mail does not work
The phone does NOT work., in the upper left hand corner, where it usually says AT&T, it is blank.

    Any ideas????

MSN Messenger could not locate you with that email address.
    Is it correct?

No, not yet, Element has been EXTREMELY helpful, helping me out, but now I have now run into another problem:

Now my iPhone is stuck in off position. I can barely get it to turn on. I will hold the power button down for minutes, and nothing. Then I hold down both the power and the home button, but nothing happens, sometimes the grey apple logo comes on, but stays on for minutes at a time, then the unit just goes off.

Sometimes the phone turns on, and I get the Globe logo, with the slider on the bopttom (slide to right to turn on), but the slider does not work- nothing!

Sometimes after minutes of fooling with it, I get the main screen, but NO touch button works!

Any ideas on what is going opn?? I can not even restore it now!

sounds like the iPhone is broken. Take it to the Apple Store but maje no mention of unlocking or hacking. If it cant power on they'll have no way of knowing it was unlocked.

Probably when I go there, they will get it to power up, even for a moment, and see the Invalid SIM message.

    Any other ideas??
