I have a 1.1.2 OTB, unlocked by Geohot method, and now im in 1.1.3, did it by DEV TEAMS method. My question is can I upgrade my baseband to the latest, and if so how do I do it?

yes you can, but actually, if you do that, you won't be able to use the phone capacity of the iphone

Ok thankyou, I thought the Geohot unlock worked in the latest baseband. So the one that have a 1.1.3 otb have to use the baseband donwgrader, because ive seen that if you downgrade to 1.1.1 the baseband doesnt, is that what should be done.

Can anyone clarify what the situation with jailbreaking and baseband is at the moment for me?

I have 1.1.2 OTB (not upgraded, legit UK O2 contract etc) and am thinking of upgrading to 1.1.3 now.

I occasionally need to travel and use other sims, so my thinking is to just stay up to date on legit firmwares/activation, and only drop back down to 1.1.2 and use Geohot's software unlock when I am travelling.

I get the impression that if I upgrade, I can't go back down to 1.1.2 baseband (04.02.12_G) even if I do a full restore in itunes. Is that correct?

And if so, how are the OTB1.1.3 jailbreak/unlocks working if they already have the newest baseband on them that cant be downgraded?
