Hi all,

Way back in September i bought my iphone and it was hardware unlocked. I have a friend who has the software unlocked 1.1.1 and his phone seem to run a lot smoother than mine.

My question is, is it possible to upgrade my hardware unlocked (1.0.2) iphone to one of the new firmwares? (1.1.2 or 1.1.3)
Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.

u must virginize 1st

With ZiPhone is piece of cake. First virginize. Preferably use the unlock.no solution, by far the easiest. Then restore the phone to 1.1.3 and JB, activate and unlock with ZiPhone. All together 10 min.

a4ex couldnt have said it any better... i bout mine OTB with 1.0.2, unlock/jailbroke/activated then just a few weeks ago i reviriginzed it, retored it to new 1.1.3 from iTunes then used ZiPhone... Works perfect with T-Mobile
