Not a huge deal, but I forget to manual lock the screen sometimes and it kills my battery. I am a novice so if this is a dumb question I apologize, but I truly don't know the answer and I did search ALL 19 pages of this forum for the answer

Yes, you may set it back to auto-lock. During the unlocking you disable this feature so the iphone wouldn't kill the updates.

thats right if you are done with the unlocking and all that stuff you may wanna put the auto-lock back on
