Can anyone help pls?
My iphone is on 1.0.2 and I've had a bit of a nightmare:
It started when I installed enough apps to lose my installer app icon. The solution to this seemed simple using ibrickr, but I have changed pc since i JB'd my phone, so none of the apps showed up in the fake iphone on ibrickr. It wouldn't let me install using ibrickr except from a pxl file on my pc. I managed to find an old version of installer and install it, but the whole process of trying to tidy everything up ended in the yellow triangle of death.
I had to restore my phone using itunes, and restored the 1.0.2 firmware (I'm running the latest version of itunes which i forgot in all the excitement - hoping that doesn't make a difference...).
Now I'm back to the activation screen on my phone but cannot seem to find any way to activate:
ibrickr hangs on my desktop, and on my laptop tells me the firmware needs updating, so I can't get in that way.
winstaller says it's completed but it's had no effect.
apptapp installer can't get its hooks into the phone as it doesn't seem to stay in recovery mode - when the yellow triangle appears, the screen flickers blue and it reboots into the activation screen.
I've searched the forums but none of the solutions seem to work, so if anybody can suggest a way through this, I'd be really grateful.
Should I bite the bullet and upgrade to a more recent firmware without virginizing, or is there a way forward to activate from where I am?
Would really appreciate any advice - you know how it is when your phone is out of action!
DFU restore the phone to 1.0.2
Use apptapp & pacay to jailbreak and activate the phone (or winInstaller).
Use itunes 7.4.3
Someone had similar issue few days ago when he cannot JB and ACTivate is 1.0.2 - Finally, he did on a machine with a fresh copy of windows + itunes. Search the forum for jsalva and you will see it.
Worked perfectly - really appreciate your help - cheers!
