Hi @ll,

i've successfully used TurboSIM with a OOTB FW 1.1.2 iPhone ( Carrier Orange / Switzerland ).

I'll post a complete tutorial including a video here in this thread tomorrow in the evening.

hi,i just have a question if someone could clear it up before i buy one for my 1.1.2 OTB. i would like to use Vodafone UK in my iphone. Now to use the turbosim do i have to use a activated AT&T card or will the one that came with my phone ( not activated) be ok?
Please dont think i am dumb just want to clear it up.

Not so fantastic news after all

I need a turbosim (pretty expensive btw), then cut my simcard to fit the turbo sim tray, then stick it into the iphone, then follow one of the tutorials to make it work...(just with the one you did the work with, not any simcard, as far as I read)....
It is not a piece of cake, of course. I think I'll wait for a software solution, hoping it'll be out soon. But congratulations to those who find out how to do it and good luck to those who wish to give it a try

First, if you read the latest news about the status of unlocking software for OTB 1.1.2 Iphone u should've known that there will not be any solution in the near future. Dev Team has officially announced that they have to wait until the next firmware comes out to continue their work. And because firmware 1.1.2 was released just 2 weeks ago. I think it'll take some time for Apple to update their firmware. That is IF they want to continue to update their firmware (I guess they're celebrating because no one can unlock their 1.1.2 iphone).
Second, the turbo SIM right now is the only solution for OTB 1.1.2 Iphone. All you need to do is to program the Turbo SIM correctly. As long as you program it right, it'll work with any sim card you want. The only thing you need to do is to cut your sim card so that it fits the Turbo SIM.
