Buy an iPhone in Germany from T-Mobile, activate etc... and use T-Mobile UK?

Hi,

I was just wondering if this were to work.
I am currently in a T-Mobile contract in the UK. If i were to buy a LOCKED iPhone from T-Mobile in Germany and activate + jailbreak it, would i be able to use a UK T-Mobile SIM in it??

Part of the lock is the country code.

as far i know you can't even use another ger t-mobile sim with a locked, german phone.

If this was possible, I am sure we would have seen some posts by now. Best look at the turbosim route! Many reposts this as working.

You can not buy an iPhone from T-Mobile D without signing a contract. This means a minimum of 1176€ of fee plus 399€ for the iPhone. That means 1575€. Option? I don't think so.

Very very true. It was the case in the old'n days, but not any more. T-Mobile was successful in the shoot out against Vodafone!

Don't attack me... I only asked a question which i am quite sure nobody else has asked. I thought it might be possible because you can use any O2 SIM in British Phones (once Jailbroken).
