...are they (apple) even responsible for the Bootloader, i thought that the cell-companies (like AT&T) are in charge of that!?

Yeah warranty is valid as long as its a valid Apple bootloader 3.9 and 4.6 if its a custom bootloader then no there is no warranty for you.

It's still unknown. Some people presume they know, but they have no actual information. The warranty says that any unauthorized modification voids it; the one with the bootloader is the only one that can't be reversed at present, so therein lies your risk.

Apple's software can certainly check all of these things, including the bootloader. Consider that iTunes can know all about an unactivated, locked iPhone you plug in. Consider that even ZiPhone can know these things (it knows whether to downgrade etc.)

Installing Cydia programs on a phone that has no internet connection: read this.

Editing binary .plist, .strings, .nib and .xib files:
    * on your computer: Windows tool / conversion website.
    * on your iPhone: convert those files in a terminal with plutil (installed with Erica Utilities) or edit them with iFile (Cydia links).

donky is just talking rubish... as allways :< its SO FUCKING EASY to check BL + im quiet sure they are also reading pages like this so "sigh" they know about BL downgrades and ofc they will try to profit as much as possible so they wont repair iphone that was modifyed. Fact is, noone knows if apple is checking or not, but they would be stupid not to....

    anyway: http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=32309

do manual downgrade to 3.9, change 3.9norz 1st according to this topic and you can also software upgrade BL whenever is needed...

See http://hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=32342 for your options. One of them is... the microwave.
