ok, so i got my iphone, unlocked it using anysim and all that and i only noticed today that its running 1.0.2...so i have looked about around the forum for ways to upgrade it to 1.1.1 (mainly because i want to use the music store) and ive found a few ways but they all seem to be complicated processes...i dont really know about the technical side of the iphone, and really im just after a bit of advise, whether or not its ok and safe to upgrade and if there are any simpler ways to do it that anyone could reccommend....

another small problem i have is that i cant get my edge to work...im on O2 payandgo and after trying LOTS of different usernames and passwords which all gave error messages i finally found a set that worked

when i look under the usage menu, it tells me that 1.6MBs have been sent over edge and 244kb have been recieved, but nothing has ever really worked on it, the browser, stocks, google earth (which all work fine over my wi-fi) show that they are working but after about a minute it tells me that its lost the connection with the server or something like that...i dont know what the problem is...

any help on either would be greatly appreciated, cheers!
