Best Route to upgrade working 1.0.2 iphone from AnySim
I have had my iphone for a while now, and haven't been so good at keeping up to date with this forum. I am wanting to upgrade. or maybe it's downgrading, so I can have the latest software on my iPhone.
I used Dev Teams, AnySim on my virgin iPhone. It's now working, but what steps can I do to get the latest software.
I appreciate your feedback.

I just did that last night therefore maybe i can assist on that:
steps:
1. identify your modem version (03... or 04...)
2. get from installer the respective "Virginizer" (i.unlock.no resources)...and run it
3. get the 1.1.1 ipsw file (available also from i.unlock.no website)
4. run the upgrade from iTunes (with Windows just press "shift" while clicking on upgrade so that you can select the 1.1.1 ipsw file instead of upgrading to 1.1.2 that iTunes prompt you to do) - that was the scary part of me: i had to disconnect my laptop fron the internet so that i don't risk iTunes downloading 1.1.2 and using that for upgrade...everything went smooth!
5. you now have a "virgin" 1.1.1 iphone. Use i.unlock.no directions (*#307# method) for jailbreakme...now you should have access to your iphone - still SIM-locked though.
6. (i didn't do that and worked fine but many people suggested to include it) install BSD Sub and OpenSSH and Term100 through installer
7. proceed with AnySim installation and run
8. Voila! congrats you have a 1.1.1 AnySimed iphone
I didn't do step 6 and i saw Anysim stuck in Restart of CommCenter (i guess final step of AnySIM) i just pressed home button after 15 or 20 mins - thought i bricked it but it worked fine...but maybe i was just lucky.
I am not an expert so i would suggest some additional reading before you run all that for each of the steps... but basically that's it.
good luck! inform us of the result!

thanks for the reply... I am up to step:

when I go to the directions there and set up the two URLS in the contacts, I get to Appsnapp, the phone turns off, but then it never reboots and when I manually reboot I get the activation screen...
Any thoughts?
